TUDO NO TUBO

O conceito norteador do evento Vivo Open Air é a Sinestesia, ou cruzamento de sensações. A idéia da cenografia foi a de criar um sistema que se comunicasse com o universo da sensorialidade do visitante. Entendendo que o ser humano é um extenso sistema de tubos por onde os sentidos recebem os impulsos exteriores, criamos um sistema análogo, onde por toda parte, tubos se comunicam com o visitante seja com imagens, sons, calor, vento, luz ou informação. Esses sistemas reinterpretam a máxima que Jenny Holzer cunhou no inicio dos anos 90 dizendo que "Tudo está delicadamente interconectado." Hoje com as novas tecnologias de comunicação disseminadas por todo o planeta podemos afirmar que "Tudo está brutalmente interconectado". Essa noção enfatiza a idéia de sinestesia, quando já não mais sabemos se estamos vendo, ouvindo ou sentindo alguma coisa, mas principalmente sabemos que tudo de alguma forma está se comunicando com alguma outra parte de nós mesmos.

A experiência de se estar no Vivo Open Air será uma experiência de imersão total. Onde o espectador desaprende as fronteiras entre as mídias e torna difusa a sua fronteira de percepção.

ALL IN THE PIPE

The inspiring concept for the Vivo Open is synesthesia, the crossing of feelings. The idea for the show design was to create a system that could communicate with the visitors' sensorial universe. By understanding that the human being is an extended system of pipes, through which the senses collect external impulses, we created an equivalent system where pipes communicate with visitors all over the place, either via images, sounds, warmth, wind, light or information. These systems are a reinterpretation of Jenny Holzer early 90s quote "Everything is delicately interconnected". Today, with new technologies disseminated throughout the planet, we can state, "Everything is delicately interconnected". This concept highlights the idea of synesthesia: when we do not know if we are seeing, listening or feeling something, but especially, we know that everything, in some way, is in communication with some other part of ourselves.

The experience to actually be at the Vivo Open Air will be an experience of total immersion. Where the visitor unlearns the borders between the media and turns his perception border diffuse.
