Conseguir reconhecer a inteligência e arte em termos de expressão humana além do academicismo é uma visão contemporânea de cultura aceita.

A inteligência física é uma forma de inteligência importante e relevante como qualquer outra.

Pelé é um gênio. Não somente em termos de futebol, mas também em termos humanos gerais. Ele é uma matriz original da linguagem do futebol e também uma matriz de alguns dos espasmos mais artísticos e inteligentes da humanidade.

Apaguem a bola e verão como o jogo de Pelé se torna uma magnífica coreografia. Analisem as bicicletas que revelam um nível humano de coordenação, esforço físico, e senso da oportunidade que é entre as expressões mais altas da sinergia entre a mente e o corpo.

Tenho trabalhado com artistas extremamente inspiradores, como Bill Viola, Gary Hill, Jenny Holzer, Anish Kapoor, Isaac Julien, Shirin Neshat, e Peter Greenaway, ao longo da minha carreira como curador de exposições, designer e organizador, e devo dizer que Pelé é uma das personalidades mais extraordinárias que já conheci. A sua devoção genuína para a paixão, a busca permanente pelo seu pai, o seu senso do sincronismo, a sua precisão visual e o seu carisma são elementos que recordarei sempre.

Pelé mostrou ao mundo como uma pessoa pode transformar o amor em qualquer coisa, inclusive futebol. As suas palavras finais, no jogo de despedida, traduziram a sabia essência da sua pujança, Pelé disse "Amor, Amor, Amor"

THE LEGEND IN ACTION

Do talento precoce ao mito cujo nome se transformou em sinônimo do futebol brasileiro em todas as línguas, a exposição PELÉSTATION - The Legend in Action propõe aos visitantes uma imersão sensorial e informativa no universo do maior artilheiro de todos os tempos, autor de 1.281 gols em 21 anos de carreira. A mostra será inaugurada no dia 6 de junho na U3 Station, em Potsdamer Platz, em Berlim, e ficará em cartaz durante toda a Copa, com encerramento no dia 9 de julho.

Precoce no talento com a bola, já aos oito anos Pelé, nascido Edson Arantes do Nascimento em 1940, hipnotizava torcedores com seus dribles naturalmente perfeitos. A trajetória, a paixão pelo futebol e as conquistas de Pelé estão reunidas nos 3,3 mil metros quadrados de PELÉSTATION, na mais completa mostra já organizada sobre jogador, por duas vezes eleito o atleta do século.

Em PELÉSTATION, duas projeções com 40 metros recebem o visitante e permitem compartilhar os sonhos do jogador, desde a infância obstinado pelo futebol da arte e da precisão até o merecida consagração. Nesta primeira seção, um estádio virtual recria as emoções daqueles que tiveram o privilégio de ver em ação o jogador que tornou o futebol uma paixão mundial.

PELÉSTATION continua com uma detalhada cronologia que inclui fotos de todas as épocas, textos e vídeo. O material sintetiza os momentos mais marcantes da carreira e da vida do atleta: a infância em Bauru e os primeiros jogos, a estréia no Santos, o rápido reconhecimento, a ascensão, os desafios, o surgimento e a permanência do mito.

A exposição, que teve acompanhamento do próprio Pelé, apresenta ainda uma preciosa seleção de memorabilia ligada à carreira do jogador: entre outras, a camisa usada na despedida do escrete brasileiro em 1971, aos 31 anos; a bola do inesquecível milésimo gol, em 1969; chuteiras usadas em jogos que ficaram para sempre na memória e na história do futebol. O próprio Pelé escolheu os dez mais importantes gols de sua carreira, juntos numa projeção.

Ao percorrer PELÉSTATION, o visitante compreende a paixão que moveu milhares de espectadores a gritarem em uníssono o nome do ídolo em partidas e lance únicos: ao todo, Pelé foi o criador de pelo menos sete novas jogadas ilustradas em fotos e vídeos. O milésimo gol, os gols de bicicleta, as cabeçadas de olhos abertos e os passes que revelam a maestria de um estrategista da bola se combinam de modo inovador, numa combinação de história, emoção, tecnologia e multimídia.

PELÉSTATION cria um ambiente único que permite compreender por que Pelé se tornou e se mantém o segundo rosto mais conhecido no mundo. Jogador que conquistou o reconhecimento e a admiração de presidentes e artistas, papas e outros atletas, Pelé tem uma história única retratada numa mostra igualmente única.

Depois de visitar PELÉSTATION, fica fácil entender por que o artista
americano Andy Warhol, que preconizava um futuro em que as celebridades durariam apenas 15 minutos, foi enfático ao decretar que a fama de Pelé, a contrário, duraria 15 séculos.

Legends converge a collective imaginary and embody a common ideal of the sublime, the absolute, the referential and the original.

Being able to recognize intelligence and art in means of human expression beyond the academics is an accepted contemporary vision of our culture.

Physical intelligence is just a form of intelligence as important and relevant as any other form.

Pelé is a genius. Not only in soccer terms but also in general human terms. He is an original matrix of soccer language, but also a matrix of some outstanding artistic and intelligent spasms of mankind.

Erase the ball and you will notice how Pele's play becomes an outstanding choreography. Analyze the movements of a bicycle kick and it will reveal a human level of coordination, physical effort and sense of opportunity that is amongst the highest ranking expressions of mind and body synergy.

Having worked with extremely inspiring artists, such as Bill Viola, Gary Hill, Jenny Holzer, Anish Kapoor, Isaac Julien, Shirin Neshat, and Peter Greenaway, in my career as exhibition curator, designer and organizer, I must say that Pelé is among the most amazing personalities I have ever met. His childlike devotion to his passion, the permanent search for his father, his sense of timing, his visual accuracy and his charisma are elements that I will always remember.

Pelé showed the world how one can transform Love into anything, including soccer. His final words, on his farewell game, translated the wise essence of his drive, Pelé said "Love, Love, Love"

From a precocious talent to myth, Pelè has turned a synonym for Brazilian soccer in all languages. The exhibition, PELÉSTATION - The Legend in Action, conveys a sensorial and informative immersion into the universe of the biggest goal-shooter of all times, with his 1,281 goals shot, over a 21 year long career. The show will open on June the 6th at Potsdamer Platz's U3 Station, Berlin, and will continue through the championship, closing on July the 9th.

A precocious talent for football, Edson Arantes do Nascimento of 1940, also known as Pelé, mesmerized fans when he was 8, with his naturally perfect dribbling. His path, his passion for soccer, and his conquests are gathered in the 3,300 square meters PELÉSTATION, being the most comprehensive exhibition ever organized around the two times awarded player of the century.

At PELÉSTATION, two 40-meter projections welcome visitors to share the player's dreams, his single-mindness, since his childhood, with a soccer of art and accuracy, until his deserved notoriety. In this first section, a virtual stadium recreates the emotions of those who were privileged enough to see in action a player that has turned soccer into a world passion.

PELÉSTATION continues with a detailed chronology including pictures from all times, texts and videos. This material summarizes the most remarkable moments of the athlete's carrier and life: his childhood in Bauru and the first games, the debut at Santos, the immediate recognition, the ascension, the challenges, the birth and permanence of the myth.

The exhibition, which had Pelé's assistance, also surveys a precious selection of memorabilia of the player's career: among them, the shirt he used for his farewell in 1971, at 31; the ball of his unforgettable thousandth goal, of 1969; the sneakers he used in games that marked forever the memory and history of soccer. Pelé himself selected the ten most important goals of his career; they show together in a projection.

When visiting PELÉSTATION, visitors understand the passion that made thousands of fans scream in unison their idol's name during unique games and moves. All in all Pelé has created at least seven new moves illustrated in pictures and videos. His thousandth goal, the bicycle movements, the open-eyed head strikes and the moves that reveal the expertise of a ball strategist innovatively combine, in a blend of history, emotion, technology and multimedia.

PELÉSTATION creates a unique ambience that help us understand why Pelé has turned and keeps being the second most recognize face in the world. A player that was acknowledged and admired by presidents and artists, popes and other athletes, Pelé has a unique history, portrayed in an equally unique show.

After visiting PELÉSTATION, is easy to understand why America artist Andy Warhol, who foresaw a future where celebrities would last only 15 minutes, was emphatic to state that on the contrary, Pelé's fame, would last 15 centuries.

The exhibition was organized by Prime Licensing, exclusive licensing of the Pelé brand all over the world. PELÉSTATION was created and developed by Marcello Dantas (MAG+), who is also responsible for very successful exhibitions, such as ANTES - HISTÓRIAS DA PRÉ-HISTÓRIA e ARTE DA ÁFRICA.
