A ESCRITA DA MEMÓRIA

A Escrita da Memória apresenta uma coleção de raridades que traça a história da escrita desde seu nascimento até o presente, passando por sua conexão com as artes, as descobertas cientificas e o poder. Esta exposição oferece a impressionante coleção de cartas, documentos e relíquias arqueológicas do banqueiro Edemar Cid Ferreira. A lista de documentos raros inclui partituras de Brahms, Liszt e Wagner, manuscritos de Monet, Renoir e Gauguin, além da correspondência dos inventores Thomas Edison e Santos Dumont.

O design da exposição é organizado em volta de três elementos fundamentais da escrita, que são presentes em todas as culturas: as linhas perpendiculares, paralelas e as curvas. A sala dedicada ao nascimento da escrita mostra as peças em cima de uma base a forma de cruz. O dialogo entre arte e ciência é representado pelas linhas paralelas. Na terceira sala, a forma de "S" sugere a flexibilidade da escrita como fenômeno social. A iluminação da exposição è baseada nas últimas tecnologias como a Electroluminescência e LED. Alguns documentos são iluminados com projeções de imagens LCD

THE WRITING OF MEMORY

The Writing Of Memory presents a collection of rarities that trace the history of writing from its birth to the present, through its connection with the arts, scientific discoveries and power. This exhibition features the impressive collection of letters, documents and archaeological relics belonging to banker Edemar Cid Ferreira. The list of rare documents includes music sheets of Brahms, Liszt and Wagner, manuscripts by Monet, Renoir, and Gauguin and the correspondence of inventors Thomas Edison and Santos Dumont.

The exhibition design is arranged around three core elements of writing, that are repeated in all cultures: perpendicular lines, parallel lines and curved lines. The room dedicated to the birth of writing shows its exhibits on a cross-shaped display. The dialogue between art and science is represented by parallel lines. In the third room, a 'S' shape suggests the flexibility of writing as a social phenomenon. The Exhibition Lighting is based on new technologies such as Electroluminescence and LEDs and some documents are lit by LCD image projection.
