KUNST AUS AFRIKA Arte da África

Baseada na mostra que no Brasil bateu o recorde de um milhão de visitantes, Arte da África virou permanente no Museu Etnológico de Berlim.
Esta exposição de aproximadamente 300 objetos, consagra o incomparável patrimônio de Arte Africana do próprio Museu. Em exposição está um acervo abrangente de artefatos, que inclui máscaras, esculturas e instrumentos musicais. Vistos em conjunto, proporcionam um mapa da riqueza e da variedade da pratica da arte no continente. Arte da África se espalha por 11 salas, ocupando quase 1600 metros quadrados.
O design da mostra cria um ambiente escuro, onde os objetos iluminados ganham um novo relevo. As salas são escurecidas, a iluminação spot concentra-se em cada objeto singularmente, sugerindo novas formas de apreciação.

KUNST AUS AFRIKA Art of Africa

Based on a blockbuster exhibition that attracted over one million visitors in Brazil, "Art from Africa" is now permanently on view at the Berlin Ethnological Museum.
This exhibition of approximately 300 objects draws from the Museum's unparalleled holdings of African Art.
On view is a comprehensive collection of exhibits including masques, sculptures and musical instruments. When seen together, they provide a survey of the richness and variety of art practice in the continent. "Art of Africa" is divided in 11 rooms occupying nearly 1.600 square meters.
The design of the exhibition creates a dark ambience where the illuminated objects are given new relevance. The rooms are blackened and the spot lighting is concentrated on the single objects, suggesting new forms of appreciation.
